Former presidential aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Charles Udeogaranya, who later decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has urged President Buhari to forget defending himself at the elections petitions tribunal but rather concentrate on redeeming his integrity.
He said: “The disastrous position that Nigeria is now stuck with does not call for any strenuous efforts to be president, except one considers himself a genius and possesses a set of skills that are out of this world. The world economists can’t find a path for Nigeria’s economic recovery and are now in serious doubt over Nigeria’s ability to pay her debts.
“Nigerian international business partners are on a perpetual decline of interest to continue partnership with Nigerian businessmen, because Nigeria’s purchasing power is in the reds and no one partners with a poor man. The big question before President Buhari remains: why make yourself to be perceived as an enemy of progress by your citizens, since they do not believe in you to change their fortunes and as a result, your dogged efforts are not being appreciated?
“I humbly advise President Buhari to quit his defence at the presidential tribunal to save whatever integrity that is left and pave way for Atiku to be sworn in as president and to try his bid in salvaging a country that will give hope to Nigerians for a substantial period.”
