Workers in Ogun State on Wednesday commenced one week warning strike over non-implementation of the new minimum wage.
Our correspondent observed that government activities were grounded across the state, especially at the governor’s office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
As early as 6am, labour leaders mobilised went to various government offices to enforce compliance with the strike.
The main gate of the state secretariat in Oke-Mosan was blocked with labour union vehicles. Workers who arrived early were turned back. Directors and other top echelons in the civil service were, however, at work
