- Nigeria vs Guinea Group B match will hold on Wednesday, June 26, at Alexandria
- Nwankwo Kanu has charged the Super Eagles to work hard and go for glory at AFCON
- Nigeria defeated Burundi 1-0 in their first game courtesy of an Odion Ighalo's strike
Nwankwo Kanu has given the current Super Eagles squad words of wisdom as they prepare for their next game against Guinea.
The former Arsenal star encouraged the players through his social media handle to go for glory at AFCON 2019 going on in Egypt.
Gernot Rohr's men will be looking to make it two wins out of two when they face the National Elephants in Alexandria and Kanu has given the players something to hold onto.
“The game of life is a lot like football. Hardwork, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority will score you points. . . #keepgoing…” Kanu posted on his Instagram.
The former Inter Milan star had gone into the players' dressing room to congratulate them following their hard-earned 1-0 win against Burundi.
It was the three-time African champions Group B opener as the Swallows gave them a run for their money before Odion Ighalo's 77th minute strike separated both sides.
A win against the Guinea national team will secure their qualification into the round of 16 before taking on Madagascar in their last game.
