The lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency of Kano in the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has been saddled with the responsibility of leading the campaign for Femi Gbajabiamila's election as speaker of the House.
Legit.ng gathers that Jibrin, who is the chairman of the House committee on transportation, took to Twitter on Saturday, April 13, to display what Femi Gbajabiamila Speakership Organisation has been doing ahead of the inauguration of the ninth National Assembly.
The lawmaker tweeted: "#FemiGbaja4Speaker - Mid night work...my daily map 360 members. 1 Speaker. United and inclusive House. Speaker for all irrespective of Party affiliation. 10th of June. A Joint Task. 9th Assembly. A new era. History beckons.. @femigbaja"

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that two Peoples Democratic Party members of the House of Representatives on Sunday, March 31, declared support for
Wole Oke and Jerry Alagbaso from Osun and Imo states respectively endorsed Gbajabiamila for the position in Abuja.
Oke said Gbajabiamila has years of experience and understands the workings of the House of Representatives.
He said: “Femi Gbajabiamila and my good self came to the house in 2003. We have worked together and I know him in and out.
“I can’t see anybody that is more qualified than him. He understands the house rules and constitution. Aside that, he is a very fair-minded person. A networker. We from the south-west are giving you one of our best. Honestly I will be with him all through.”
Alagbaso said there is no doubt that Gbajabiamila is the most qualified to replace Yakubu Dogara, current speaker of the House.
He said: “All of us know Femi Gbajabiamila but let me say, to all of you vying for speaker, I want to warn that some of you are behaving like some people promised police uniform but have started making arrests."
