A nylon factory on Clem road Ijaye, close to Immaculate College, in Lagos is on fire.
The fire reportedly started a few minutes ago.
According to residents, the cause of the inferno is still unknown.
A social media user said the first set firefighters that came did not have enough water.
Shato, however, said another set of firefighters arrived and have been able to curtail it.
This is coming on the heels of another fire incident in Anambra.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Ogidi, Idemili North local government area of Anambra state .
Also on Sunday, there was a gas explosion in two rooms of a storey building at No 23 Emmanuel Church road, Inland town Onitsha. Seven persons were feared burnt in the incident.
The police spokesman in the state, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed both incidents said there was no loss of life.
He added that the Onitsha incident victims who sustained varying degrees of injuries were responding to treatment.
