Asisat Oshoala was on song for Barcelona Ladies as they recorded a 3-0 win over Sevilla to stay unbeaten in the league.
And two of Super Falcons stars including stars including Oshoala and Sevilla's newly-signed Uchenna Kanu played against each other.
Oshoala and Sevilla's American striker Toni Oyedupe Payne gave their respective opponents a run for their money as they both created chances out of nothing but failed to convert.
But all three goals were scored in the second half by Barca Ladies as Alexia Putellas opened the scoring after converting a spot-kick.
Four-time African Footballer of the Year, Oshoala then notched up the second goal six minutes later to take her goal-tally to 15 in 17 matches.
Nigerian international Kanu was then handed a debut appearance since making a winter move to the Spanish club earlier in the week as she replaced Ana Franco in the 62nd minute.
But that did not stop Patri Guijarro's 73rd minute strike as Sevilla were condemned to their ninth defeat of the campaign.
Oshoala was then substituted with in the 74th minute Claudia Pina as she gave with a rousing ovation from the Barcelona fans.
The 25-year-old is now three short of her teammate Jenni Hermos who has 18 goals in 17 appearances in the league this term.
Barcelona have now established a 12-point gap at the top of the table as they remain unbeaten in the league with rivals Atletico Madrid in second position.
On the other hand, Sevilla are in 11th position with 18 points from 18 games so far this campaign. Payne played full 90 minutes with Kanu featuring for only 28 minutes.
Barcelona are up against Atletico in the Women's Super Cup on before 6 February, playing another league match against Sporting de Huelva.
