The future is bright for Nigerian-American Rotimi Akinosho who is set to feature in anticipated movie, Coming To America 2. Right before securing the major gig, Akinosho who is born to Nigerian parents but is based in the US, already made his mark starring as Darius Morrison on the Starz series Boss, and currently plays as Andre Coleman on Power.
Akinosho not only has a talent in acting, he is also a musician and has released albums that have received massive airplay and doubled his fans all over America and Africa. The 30-year-old multi-talented entertainer is the perfect blend of Nigerian and American and makes sure to serve both sides of his heritage.
It is no surprise that he started winning early. At age 15, he won the Apollo Theater Amateur Night award twice. He attended Columbia High School where he was marked out as a talent both on the school’s basketball team and the choir. He continued his studies at Northwestern University and graduated with a Communications minor in Business.
