The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its displeasure over the choice of cabinet ministers President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated on Wednesday, August 21, describing them as “recycled foot-travelers”.
The opposition party expressed its displeasure on Wednesday, August 21, in a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, The Nation reports.
Legit.ng gathers that the opposition party alleged that President Buhari assembled a team made up of people indicted for corruption and treasury-looting.
The statement read: “Of course, Mr President has severally demonstrated a lack of required capacity to lead a nation as complex as Nigeria, especially at this trying times.
“At a ceremony where Nigerians had expected the forceful articulation of a progressive policy thrust, Mr. President bored the nation with an empty and directionless script that only evoked more despondency in our nation."
According to the PDP, instead of helping President Buhari to offer hope, "his handlers were more interested in photo-ups and refreshments, away from serous business of governance”.

The former governor of Rivers state said President Buhari told him that he would be returned as minister.
Amaechi, who spoke at his swearing-in reception on Wednesday, August 21, said he would ensure that his ministry performs optimally to please the president and Nigerians at large.
He said: “The President told me the same week cabinet was dissolved that I will return you to cabinet.
“I kept it a secret but I could have announced to you. So all those who were running helter-skelter, we knew that God would not allow them to have their way."
