- The 36-year-old is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain last month
- Alves won his first title at PSG playing under Unai Emery
Free-agent Dani Alves is ready to complete a switch Arsenal after leaving Paris Saint-Germain last month.
According to a UK Sun report, Alves won’t go below £200k-a-week salary, which will likely stall the possibility of the deal going through.
The 36-year-old Brazilian international is unattached at the moment.
Last season, he earned £230k-a-week at PSG before snubbing a one-year extension in June, insisting on two-year deal.
And after failing to qualify for Champions League football last campaign, Arsenal have reduced their bill this summer, with departures like Aaron Ramsey, Petr Cech, Danny Welbeck, Stephan Lichtsteiner and David Ospina reportedly saving the North London dwellers about £410,000-per-week.
At the moment, Arsenal appear not ready to increase their huge salary, but Alves, who helped Emery win his first title at PSG, re-echoed his desire to play in the English topflight last year.
“The idea that I might finish my career without going to the Premier League, it is not possible.
“For sure, this is the most amazing football in the world. First, because of the respect for the players from the fans, and then because of the passion on the pitch.
“If I can play, that would be perfect, but I will make it there one way or the other.”
At the last count, Alves, who has claimed 40 trophies throughout his career, will be revealing his next club in 14 days’ time.
And Arsenal fans will be praying Alves agree a deal to be part of Emery’s squad this coming campaign.
“Now I’m free, but I still have a lot to accomplish in my career.
“The only thing that I can say is that the club that sign me will sign a true champion,” the Brazilian summed up.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that in the most difficult fashion after doing it with his manhood.
The likes of Sergio Ramos to Paul Pogba have all taken part in the latest social media craze where the aim is to knock off the cap from a bottle with a martial act kick.
But Alves proved his effort will be a hard act to copy after using his third leg to lift the lid of the plastic container.
