Ramon Ismael Coronel who is a 17-year-old goalkeeper has reportedly lost his life in Argentina while celebrating saving a penalty in a local football match.
He was playing for his side Union de Golondrina in a match coinciding with an annual religious festival.
Tragedy happened around 9pm on Tuesday, July 9, in a village near the city of Reconquista in the north of the province of Santa Fe according to UK Sun.
The report added that Ramon Ismael Coronel saved a penalty with his chest and later collapsed on the pitch before going into cardiac arrest.
There was no ambulance at the scene and supporters had to put Ramon Ismael Coronal inside a pick-up before he died on the way to the hospital.
Efforts made by medical personnel to resuscitate his life on getting to the hospital were futile as he was confirmed dead.
“I can’t understand why there wasn’t an ambulance at an event like this,'' Ramon's dad Eduardo Coronel said according to the report on UK Sun.
