President Muhammadu Buhari, late Thursday, July 11, held a closed-door meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly led by its chairman, Ahmad Lawan.
The Nation reports that other leaders of the National Assembly who attended the dinner, which started at 8.30 pm, include the deputy Senate president, Ovie Omo-Agege and the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Senator Abdullahi Yahaya who is the majority leader.
Also in attendance at the meeting which held at the new ‘Banquet Hall’ of the State House, Abuja, are Ajayi Borofice, deputy leader; Orji Uzor Kalu, chief whip and Sabi Abdullahi, deputy chief whip all of the Senate.
From the House of Representatives, those who also attended include Emmanuel Bwacha; Phillip Aduda, who is the minority whip; Alhassan Ado-Doguwa; Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, who is minority leader and Toby Okechukwu, deputy minority leader.
Ita Enang, senior special assistant to the president on National Assembly matters (Senate), also attended the closed-door meeting.
It is learnt that the leadership of the National Assembly could get the full list of the next cabinet of the president at the meeting.
